Background Mrs. Joy Obiaigwe was born on 7th of September 1985 to the family of Mr. Samson and Mrs. Josephine Moni both of Owa Alero in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.
She attended Marymount College Boji Boji Owa from 1996-2002. Thereafter, she gained admission into the Delta State University Abraka where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree (Second Class upper) in Biology Education in 2011.She subsequently obtained a Master of Science Degree in Botany from the University of Ibadan, Ibadan in 2015.
She is currently running her M.Phil/PhD in Plant Biology and Biotechnology at the University of Benin, Benin City.
She was employed by the Post Primary Education Board as a Graduate Master II in the year 2020. In 2021, she was employed as Assistant Lecturer, Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Sciences in the newly established University of Delta, Agbor.
She is an hardworking, purposeful and result-oriented person. And in recognition of her attributes, she was appointed member Faculty Utilization and Resource Committee. She has also served as Course Level Adviser since 2021/2022 session.
