Background Dr. Clement Ndudi Isibor began his career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist with the Delta State Hospitals Management Board, where he served from 1993 - 2021. Throughout his illustrious career with the Hospitals Management Board, Dr Clement Isibor worked conscientiously to the admirations of the Board management in the manner he distinguished himself as a Medical Laboratory Scientist. He played a very prominent role in the system strengthening of Health Care in Nigeria. He participated actively in the establishment of a Delta State HIV Treatment Centre by the State Ministry of Health in 2006 and coordinated the sample collection and shipment team across the 25 LGA during the peak COVID -19 pandemic in Delta State.
Dr Clement is a PEPFAR Health Professional Fellow and a Travel grant recipient of Swedish International Development Agency (SIDA) and the prestigious The AIDS Support Organisation (TASO) Uganda TASO Experiential Attachment to Combat HIV/AIDS (TEACH) progammme.
He is a Certified Medical Laboratory Mentor and Educator, with skills in Good Laboratory Practice, Laboratory Information Management Systems and Health systems strengthening for better service delivery.
Guided by the belief that service to humanity could be more satisfying and rewarding in building capacity through teaching, research and contributing to the existing body of knowledge, Dr. Clement Isibor opted for and was engaged as Lecturer I in the Department of Biological Sciences , Faculty of Science, University of Delta, Agbor in October 2021. Since joining the University of Delta.
He has served in the institution's Taskforce of the Harmonisation of Students Handbook amongst other departmental appointments.
Dr Clement Isibor is a member of recognised professional bodies both nationally and internationally. He was inducted into the Board of Fellows, West Africa Postgraduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (FWAPCMLS, 2022); Fellow Medical Laboratory Council of Nigeria (FMLSCN, 1996).
Dr Clement Isibor is a member of the Association of Medical Laboratory Scientist of Nigeria (AMLSN); Nigeria Society for Microbiology (NSM), Nigeria (2000 – to date); African Society for Laboratory Medicine (ASLM), Addis Ababa Ethiopia (2010 – to date); American Society for Microbiology (ASM), USA (2016 -– to date).
Dr. Isibor Clement is a community value advocate who belongs to several community-based organisations such as Ekuma Progressive Union, and Onù Ika Nigeria (The mouthpieces of Ika Ethnic nationality) amongst others.
His hobbies include but are not limited to the following: Scientific research, badminton, traveling, community, and humanitarian service.
His Research Interest is in Immunological Responses to Diseases of Public Health Importance, Bioinformatics and Computational Biology.
Dr Clement Isibor has authored several papers in international and local peer-review journals. His publications can be accessed on ocrid.com, Google Scholar, and ResearchGate.
Dr. Isibor is a family man who places a high premium on family values; is married to a loving wife Justina Isibor and is blessed with children.
Education Dr. Clement Ndudi Isibor is a trained Medical Laboratory Scientist with a specialisation in Medical Microbiology. He obtained his Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Pharmaceutical Microbiology (2000); Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree (Immunology and Immunochemistry (2014) and Doctor of Philosophy Degree (Ph.D.) in Immunology and Immunochemistry from University of Benin, Benin- City Nigeria (2018).
