Background Stephen Buzugbe is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Delta, Agbor. His career includes experience as a research assistant at Nnamdi Azikiwe University and in a government hospital in Delta State. He has also contributed significantly to education as a teacher in several private secondary schools in Agbor, Delta State. He is a highly motivated microbiologist and biotechnologist. His goal as a lecturer is to inspire students to develop a deep passion for applied microbiology and biotechnology, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and skills to thrive in the industry. He is dedicated to creating innovative, engaging curricula and conducting pioneering research that pushes the boundaries of Biotechnology. His Research Interests are Drug Discovery, Phytomedicine and Genetic Engineering. Hid research focuses on profiling novel metabolites from medicinal plants for therapeutic use, as well as exploring the role of endophytic fungi in producing biological compounds that can serve as precursors for conventional drugs.
Education Mr S.H. Buzugbe earned his Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Delta State University, Abraka, and hold a Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra State.
